Motel Information

The Quartzsite Yacht Club Motel is under new Ownership and Management. We are a verified yacht club in the middle of the desert with almost 10,000 members. Our name is uniques and so are our rooms. Each room is themed after a famous historical boat. They are mobile homes divided in half. it's not your traditional motel, but it's a great place to lay your head. No Frills, but Clean with affoirdable rates. We offer free WiFi in all rooms.

Pets under 30 Lbs can stay for $20.00 ...... ALL Rooms are Non-Smoking.

HiJollyThe Motel office is in the Historical HI JOLLY Outpost. The outpost building was built in the late 1800's and is one of the most interesting buildings in Quartzsite, AZ. Embedded crystal rocks of many colors make up the exterior of this unique building.

The Yacht Club Restaurant Bar & Grill is just next door. Be sure to to drop your anchor there where you'll find food and drinks fit fo a commodore and pirate alike. Before you know it, you'll be singing Karaoke, playing Pool and dancing the night away.

Mayflower

SLIP 101 - 'THE MAYFLOWER'

The Pilgrim ship Mayflower was a typical English merchant ship of the early 17th century – square-rigged and beak-bowed, with high, castle-like structures fore and aft that served to protect the ship's crew and the main deck from the elements.The Mayflower was the ship that transported the 102 passengers and approx 30 crew, known today as the Pilgrms, from Plymouth to the New World in 1620

SLIP 102 - 'SANTA MARIA'

La Santa María, was the largest of the three ships used by Christopher Columbus in his first voyage. With three masts, she was the slowest of Columbus' vessels but performed well in the Atlantic crossing. The NiñaPinta, and the Santa María were modest-sized merchant vessels comparable in size to a modern cruising yacht.

SLIP 103 - ' AFRICAN QUEEN

The iconic vessel the African Queen was made famous in the 1951 movie of the same name starring Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn she still remains a timeless classic. Built in Lytham, England in 1912 for service in Africa for the East Africa British Railways company. She was used to shuttle cargo, missionaries and hunting parties across the Victoria Nile and Lake Albert.

USS Constitution  is a wooden-hulled, three-masted  heavy  frigate of the United States Navy, named by President George Washington after the Constitution of the United States of America. Launched in 1797, Constitution was one of six original frigates authorized for construction by the Naval Act of 1794 and the third constructed. Constitution is most famous for her actions during the War of 1812 against the United Kingdom, when she captured numerous merchant ships and defeated five British warships

The Cutty Sark was once the most famous of the great clippers, the name ‘clipper’ referring to the fast sailing ships of the nineteenth century that traversed the world’s major trading routes. The Cutty Sark was a masterpiece, the pinnacle of sailing ship design. Her composite hull of timber and iron was sleek and strong, while her three masts could hold a spread of canvas that propelled the ship at up to 17 knots

Nautilus

The Nautilus is the fictional submarine captained by Nemo featured in Jules Verne's novels Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. The Nautilus is described by Verne as "a masterpiece containing masterpieces". It is designed and commanded by Captain Nemo.  Electricity provided by sodium/mercury  batteries  (with the sodium provided by extraction from seawater) is the craft's primary power source for propulsion and other services.

The Black Pearl, originally Wicked Wench, is a fictional ship in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series. In the screenplay, the Black Pearl is easily recognized by her distinctive black hull and sails. She is said to be "nigh uncatchable". Her speed is derived from the large amount of sails she carries. She is noted in At World's End as being "The only ship that can outrun the Flying Dutchman."

SLIP 108 - S.S. MINNOW

The S. S. Minnow  is a fictional charter boat on the hit 1960s television sitcom Gilligan's Island. The ship ran aground on the shore of "an uncharted desert isle" (in the south Pacific Ocean), setting the stage for this popular situation comedy. A minnow is a very small bait fish, but the TV boat was actually named for Newton Minow,

SLIP 110 - 'THE QUEEN MARY'

RMS Queen Mary  is a retired ocean liner that sailed primarily on the North Atlantic Ocean from 1936 to 1967 for the Cunard Line. Queen Mary sailed on her maiden voyage on 27 May 1936. Following the war Queen Mary was refitted for passenger service. By the mid-1960s, Queen Mary was ageing and, though still among the most popular transatlantic liners, was operating at a loss. The ship serves as a tourist attraction featuring restaurants, a museum, and a hotel. The ship is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

SLIP 112 - 'STARS AND STRIPES'

Stars & Stripes  is the name of an America's Cup syndicate operated by Dennis Conner and its racing yachts. After losing the America's Cup Yacht race. The well funded syndicate commissioned four 12 metre yachts to support a campaign led by Dennis Conner, representing the San Diego Yacht Club, to win back the America's Cup in the 1987 competition in Fremantle, Australia.
